Electric Water Heaters

Members who install an electric water heater with a 40
gallon storage capacity or larger and enroll in the
Cooperative's Water Heater Load Management Program are
eligible to receive a one time rebate. If the new electric
water heater is installed in a new structure or if it
replaces a fossil fired unit the rebate amount will be
$100. If a second new electric water heater is installed
the rebate amount for the second water heater will be $75.
If the new electric model replaces an existing electric unit
the rebate will be $75. In addition, members who
receive a water heater rebate agree to allow the
Cooperative to control the heating elements of their water
heater for periods of no longer than 5 hours in any given
day and will receive a 2.50 cent per kWh rate reduction for all
kWh used between 700 kWh and 1000 kWh for each month of the
year. This could mean a savings of up to $90 a year. |
Heating and cooling your home with a
Geothermal system is the most efficient and cost effective
way to enjoy year round comfort. In addition to its low
operating cost to heat and air condition your home, the
system can provide up to 60% of your domestic hot water
requirements. For members who install a Geothermal system,
the Cooperative will provide a one time rebate of $600. In
addition, members who use a Geothermal heating system and
participate in our Water Heater Load Management Program are
eligible for
Geothermal Rate 19. This rate provides our members with
a substantial savings for the billing months October through
May. All kWh used between 1000 kWh and 6000 kWh in each of
these billing months will be charged at 6.7 cents per kWh. |

Add On Heat Pumps & Heat Pumps

Certified Comfort Home

| Members who install an Add-On Electric Heat
Pump or an Electric Heat Pump will receive a $200 rebate.
This rebate will apply to any size heat pump installed as
part of the central heating and cooling system. In
addition, members who use electric heat as the primary
source of heat in their home are eligible for our
Electric Heat Rate 17. Under this rate all kWh used
between 1000 kWh and 6000 kWh in each billing month October
through May will be charged at 7.1 cents per kWh . |
Members who are building a home and follow the
building techniques described in the
Certified Comfort Home
Booklet could receive a $100 rebate from the
Cooperative. To find out more about how your home can be

Rebate Application
|
Combined total of all rebates is limited to $3,000 per
member per service location.
Note: Rebates effective October 1, 2004; Rates effective
January 1, 2009. |
